Glutathione

Description

Glutathione or L-glutathione (from the chemical name γ-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinylglycine) is an endogenous cellular antioxidant that is formed by the body from the three amino acids glutamine, glycine and cysteine. The tripeptide glutathione acts as a radical scavenger, protects the brain and nerves and prevents the peroxidation of lipids. Oxidative stress caused by a cellular glutathione deficiency is one of the main factors of premature cell ageing and can lead to countless systemic symptoms. Glutathione is not only a powerful antioxidant, it also reactivates other important antioxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E and alpha lipoic acid, which is why glutathione is often referred to as the “master antioxidant”. Glutathione also plays a central role in detoxification.

Daily dose: 1 capsule contains 250 mg glutathione and 12 mg vitamin E (= 100 % NRV), take with a little water.
